Discover the way a Greek Scientific Paradigm may develop an “Innovation Ecosystem 5.0”

We aim to explore how the Greek Scientific Paradigm may take flesh and bones and how it may develop within the boundaries of the next-gen Innovation Ecosystems.

As we deal with the implications of the 4th Industrial Revolution and we start designing the Society 5.0, is there a way for Greece and Cyprus to pioneer and excel on these areas? Can Greece and Cyprus devise their own next-gen “Innovation Ecosystem 5.0”?

Humanity has entered a period of heavy digitalization where platform business models cause radical reordering of traditional business, and the power is shifting from nations to networks. In this new frontier, the global network of Greeks should have to compete and partner with other networks.

We discuss these questions, with the aim

  • to identify the core characteristics of the next-gen Innovation Ecosystem
  • to discover what model of Innovation Ecosystem Greece and Cyprus should develop and foster in the Society 5.0
  • to incorporate the wealth of experiences and capabilities of our Diaspora
  • to develop bridges for connecting Greeks and cooperating in converged cyber-physical space

Towards the Greek & Cypriot next-gen innovation ecosystems 5.0”

In the new era, Innovation in Science and Technology is the spark to transform a Nation - within the Industry & Society 5.0 context - into a technologically advanced one, Small countries like Greece and Cyprus need to use all the necessary means to become successful in that front.

Our Diaspora is frequently mentioned as a game changer for helping Hellenism find its position for the time to come. It is perceived to be, and it is a soft power that we have to incorporate in every arrangement we compile for the future.

In this 3rd Symposium we build upon the very interesting ideas that came out of our previous Symposia – Tech Diplomacy and Involvement of Scientists in Diplomatic actions – that must be further nurtured and advanced to the next level, take shape and developed in to action programs.

We discuss these matters, with the aim
- To identify the role of Scientists in promoting our position in the global landscape via Science & Tech Diplomacy
- To identify the role of Hellenic Diaspora Business Leaders in the making of the next-gen Innovation Ecosystem
- To incorporate the wealth of experiences and capabilities of our Diaspora
¬ of our distinctive talent in Life Sciences to the dawn of the Greek Biopharma innovation

why Space matters for a safe and prosperous Nation

Over the last years, the Space sector has become a domain for high-tech innovation, commercial opportunities, and strategic purposes. Space economy is attracting more attention worldwide, as public, and private investors look for new sources of economic growth and innovation.

It involves a full range of activities and resources that create value and benefits to human beings in the course of exploring, researching, understanding, managing, and utilizing space.

Space Economy is the first of the four Technology areas (not exclusively) that we will build around an Innovative Ecosystem.

We invite you to join us on June 30, 2022, at 18:00 GR time in our event platform for the presentation of the Space Economy Circle at the Greek Scientists Society.

The role of Cybersecurity for a Modern-day Society

In this Inaugural Conference of the Cyber Security Circle at the Greek Scientists Society – where non-Greeks experts are welcome - we explore the role of Cybersecurity in today’s society.

With Technology advancing exponentially and the digitization of every day life activities, security is of the utmost importance to prevent abuse and dangerous, criminal activity.

In order to preserve the quality of our lives and permit our people and corporations to operate without any disruptions, we need to build our defence against the threats by developing resilient strategies and the necessary institutional instruments.

We discuss these questions, with the aim of
- how digital trust can strengthen the democratic society
- how digital trust can affect the digital economy
- how Greece and Cyprus should build an open, safe and secure cyberspace
