Dear Greek Scientists Society members,
I hope you have enjoyed our first newsletter and you are impatient to learn more about our Society.
In this communique...
Greek Scientists Society first Webinar
We are happy to announce the outset of our series of webinars that will be taking place once a week.
Although at the beginning there will be an emphasis on biomedical topics, many of our webinars will have an interdisciplinary approach; in this new era, there is an impetus for reskilling Scientists in this manner and we will make our best to facilitate this.
Please get back to us should you have any suggestions on the kind of webinars you wish from us to host and propose speakers for the next coming sessions.
At a later stage, we will also be hosting workshops.
Let us invite you to our first online webinar with Professor George Chrousos, "Medical Philosophy in Ancient Greece"

Scientific Coordinator for our Online Symposium
We are happy to announce that Dr Alexis Papazoglou - Royal Holloway Lecturer in Philosophy, Affiliated Lecturer at the Philosophy Faculty of the University of Cambridge - is the Scientific Coordinator of our Symposium, that is going to be held in mid-March (indicative day: March 14).
More details in our next Newsletter.
We would like to share an interesting trend from our Survey "Top Trends in Biomedical Sector & which ones Greece and Cyprus should focus on".
Although our participants believe the main Biomed sectors will evolve satisfactorily by 2030 on average 7.95 (on a scale 1-10), the expectations for the Greek and Cypriot capabilities compared vis-à-vis the International environment are rather pessimistic; on average 5.24.
There is no question that we must work harder to reverse this belief and give Greece and Cyprus the outlook they deserve based on the capacity of our Scientists.
We will focus our initial efforts in Cyprus.
